As Brussels authorities continued to impose a lockdown amid an ongoing search for a key suspect in the Paris terrorist attacks and a major terror threat, police on Sunday night asked residents not to post about the lockdown on social media, for fear that terrorists could use information found there to track where people could be gathering or where police could be conducting raids.
In response, Brussels residents tweeted cat pictures instead.
People without cats wanted to join the fun, so they tweeted pictures of other animals.
Well played, Brussels.
